will this gonna be a-happy-ending story?
Hello there? Everything with you is flowing smoothly i guess :)
This is just a bit from this morning’s conversation with mom:
Mom: Dek, uncle Bambang has a good person for you. He’s a dentist, kind, humble, and respectful guy. You have to be with me in this case, don’t oppose. Okay?
Me: Mom I really appreciate it, but the thing is that’s a way too long to take into account now. Let me just find myself settle down and I will look it up later. There’s no point in thinking of it if I still have plenty things to look after.
Mom: No, no… this is a chance. Do not waste it.
Me: Okay, whatsoever.
Then the conversation followed by how was my sister’s engagement going.
Yaahh… Here I am, like Siti Nurbaya perhaps… In fact I’m still 23 y/o and marriage is a way too far in the future… It’s in two years time I will be thinking of it thoroughly. However, there’s nothing wrong with accepting my mom and uncle’s kindness. I should be more respectful. Let’s see what my mom and uncle are up to :)

an inspiring taxi driver
Hello readers, how’s there? i hope you’re doing okay :)
As usual, I feel like sharing many things to you…
My mom came over to Depok for 3 weeks… It’d been a very pleasant time with her. We spent 3 days of long-weekend (Wed-Friday), wandering around Jakarta, buying some stuffs for my sister’s engagement day.
… and the time did roll out so quickly…
It was Saturday when I accompanied my mom to go to Pasar Senen train station. We rode a taxi wrapped with yellow color. I and mom felt pretty tired that we needed to break our hands and legs into pieces. Yah, we had beaten tonnes of luggage to brought back to Nganjuk. I think it’s common to tired people to expect a rest in a taxi they ride. We did expect so. But listen, the driver was so inspiring :) Here are the stories…
His name is Pak Abdul. He had been one of superordinate persons in PN Timah Bangka Belitung before the company collapsed down. Then he had moved to drugs and become an alcoholic for a moment before he knew and loved Islam. When he was in drugs and alcohol world all he searched for is: tranquility. He had tried numerous ways to find it and ended up with Islam. He continuously learned Qur’an and improve his Shalat.
In the taxi, he quoted many verses in Qur’an with the interpretations and relevancy in life! Awesome! He also criticized today’s tv ustadz for setting unreasonable price for da’wah. What I remember from him are:
- it doesn’t matter what you’re working on as long as it is halal and doesn’t deter you from Shalat.
- we’re working too hard that we sometimes forget that life in this world is temporary. Hereafter is the eternal one.
- God is the most thing you’ve been thinking of. If you are more into material side of things, than obviously your “god” is nothing else but money, career position, all that stuff.
After a half-an-hour travel, we arrived in Pasar Senen train station. My mom said bye to Pak Abdul and she wished she could met Pak Abdul in the future. Then my mom managed to come back to Nganjuk. Do you know how was it feel? Sad of course :( I decided to go back to Depok after my mom had gotten into the train. I was lonely on my to Depok and the loneliness conquered me because I used to go around with my mom and suddenly I had no one to talk to or just to lay my head on ;’( Then when I was approaching my dorm, as usual, I said “Assalamu’alaikum” and there’s no one replied my salaam… sad sad saaaddd :((
Let’s forget the sadness, there’s nothing to do with it but keep moving on! :D
The story is unhappy actually, I’ve got my new skirt washed out :(( do you guys, have any idea of getting rid of this problem? let me know ASAP ya hehe…
That’s all I suppose. Time to go home now, it’s already 9 p.m. and I still sit down on my office desk. Have a wonderful night!
cheers,
niaps :)
the hardest “Hi” ever
Hello again! How are you doing?
In this post, I’d like to share couple of things I encountered this week and the previous one :)
I start with Saturday the 5th when mom, sister and her fiancee, also I attended graduation ceremony of Trisakti University held at Plenary Hall JCC.We were there to congratulate my sister who had finished her study.
It was held at 12 p.m. so we expected to start to go by 11. The bad thing is, I couldn’t manage my class to finish earlier. So there was me who were still teaching a class at that time.
Overall, I can’t say that the ceremony was magical. I don’t know, perhaps because Trisakti doesn’t own its own building to get the celebration so I can’t feel the glorious ambience I was feeling during my graduation ceremony at Kampus UI Depok.
Moreover, the ceremony committees were so rude, they were talking each other too loud with high intonations right in front of my face :( Can you imagine that?! Loads of people were getting into the room and then stopped by those committees. Well, actually there were only 2 people who were invited by each invitation letter. So, whoever goes beyond the limit will not be allowed to enter the venue. Committees tried to stop those ‘uninvited people’ but please there were soo many ways rather than mocking and showing those outrageous attitude :((
The ceremony itself, mmm…kind of average, I’d say. Nothing special but walking forward to the podium and had the hands shook by the Dean and Rector. May be I am too naive, but If I had known how the ceremony would be, I wouldn’t have been there (but how come?that’s my sister’s special moment!*stressed out* :p )
Then the ceremonial moment was finished by 5.20 p.m. we were so starving that we almost died (*sounds cheesy*) the thing is, we hadn’t had lunch yet and Maghrib praying time was so close. So we decided to go to the nearest mall, Central Park Mall.
Before walking around the mall, we did Maghrib prayer at the basement of the building. Aaanndd you know what? Suddenly my tongue was freezing and nothing flew out of my mouth, even a “Hi” to an old friend I saw :( I had been expecting this friend for ages. I don’t know, I wonder if he’d like to give me a grace… But my friend can’t have read this post or found this bloody blog hehe
Let’s move to the following day, Sunday the 6th when I spent my time to gain deeper understanding of DAAD Scholarship for the year of 2012-2013. I found out so many information and I am looking forward to completing the requirements and the application procedure as well… :)
on Tuesday the 8th, I had a medical examination in Bidakara Medical Center. That was the first time I’ve had a complete version of medical check-up in life. The exciting result is, my blood glucose level is less than the normal level. So, what does it mean? I should increase sugar consumption! Isn’t it nice?! ^^
I’ve done! Bye for now, a computer class is waiting for me and this post needs reviewing by Mba Rifi ;p
Cheers,
niaps :)
a credit-taker, happy? unhappy
Hi there! How’s life going?
I happen to be a friend of a credit-taker. Of course, no one’s happy being one of.
But I almost forget that “this is life, isn’t it?” :D

Ta’aruf
Ta’aruf means to get to know someone. It is kind of special activity in Islam when a boy wants to know more about a girl he wants to marry. Ta’aruf is a process with several people involved in. I do happen to be one of those.
Of course not being a person who will be proposed (then, when??? *stressed out*) yet being a friend who could tell anything about the will-be-proposed girl. Yes, one of best friends asked me to answers some of questions from the boy who really likes to propose her. Kinda nervous before he asked, but Alhamdulillah I could manage it very well. May Allah ease my friend’s way… Aamiin
Then an awkward thing popped-out my mind: do I have to be like my friend? Do ta’aruf as a starting point of marriage? Well, still don’t know. My light of hope still ignites, hope of him, anak laki-laki itu :)
Do have a productive weekend, friends!
Cheers,
niaps :)

The plan: applying for Monbugokusho Scholarsip
Still on to-do list: 1) Research Proposal; 2) Recommendation letters; 3) Field of study form
Those much. 3 days left. Get them doooneee!!! Sooonn!!!
Aamiin
